Meet The Instructors

tacticalSteve Ingersoll

Steve was taught to shoot by his father (a USAF Vietnam Veteran) at an early age with his dad’s old 1930’s O.F. Mossberg and Sons .22 bolt action rifle. Since then he’s never looked back. Marksmanship and guncraft are in his blood. Steve has carried and used a firearm for a living since he enlisted in the U.S. Army Special Operations Command at 17. He’s served two combat tours in Iraq, the first one being the 2003 invasion and is decorated for valor. Since then he has worked for an international private security firm and as a police officer in North Carolina. Steve has trained religiously in his guncraft, attending civilian firearms schools, NRA training classes, military training programs and law enforcement training. While in the U.S. Army, Steve traveled to several military bases around the country in order to train hundreds of deploying Soldiers on handguns, carbines and machine guns. He also provided training on urban combat operations and IED detection. Steve has now dedicated his life to training American gun owners and CCW holders in the fine art of firearms and how to stay alive if they ever find themselves having to use their firearm to defend their lives or families. Steve is an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor.

He began training religiously and renewed his love for firearms. Since that time he has served with an international security firm, the North Carolina Department of Corrections, and as a police officer through out central North Carolina. In 2000 David completed BLET (Basic Law Enforcement Training) and became a full time police officer in a local municipality. While serving his community as a police officer and corrections officer he received extensive firearms training through the NRA, and North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards where he consistently qualified as a Marksman or Expert in the disciplines of both handgun and shotgun.
